ABOUT
THREE.OH - Inspirational Kingdom [3.0] is a graphic design portal that focuses on a textual as well as visual exploration of issues with in the mandate of graphic design.
THREE.OH promote artists/web designers on the internet,and we are an online resource for anyone interested in digital design.Through both the extensive links section and the interviews with web designers we aim to provide a more insightful appreciation of how design functions in this medium.’Conceptual Exploration, Artistic Inspiration’.

• Tf-dex（以下F）:THREE.OHを作ろうとしたきっかけは？
• James（以下J）:最初は何かをしようという気持ちだったんだけど、今ではすっかり「ユーザー」の立場になってしまったよ。3年間、メディアコミュニケーション（情報・広告）というのを学んでいた時に上級クラスの生徒たちにウェブデザインをすすめられ、そのうちすっかりハマってしまった。96から97年頃に「ユーザーにメリットとなる何かを与えられないと個人ホームページは全く面白くない」ということに気づきはじめ、最初は小さなポータルサイトから始めたんだ。
• F:コンセプトは？
• J:「僕の個人的な仕事」と、「デザインに関連した素材やサイトへと直結している場所」とを結合させること。
• F:何人で制作しているのですか？
• J:デザイン、概念化、機能化、プログラミングは僕が担当している。エディターのStanleyにも協力してもらって、彼がテキストを全部チェックしてくれてる。あと他には5人のデザイナーの知り合いがいて、サイトのレビューを書いたり、商品のレビューを書いたり、フィードバックを担当してくれたりと、それぞれが色々なことに協力してくれてるんだ。
• F:サイトに関して、好きな事・嫌いな事は？
• J:好きな事はコンテンツ。嫌いな事はモノトーンかな。
• F:今後のTHREE.OHについて。
• J:計画はグッドだよ。ユーザーにとってコンテンツ面とデザイン面の両方に価値のあるものにしようと、仲間たちと考えている。それからTHREE.OHは他ジャンルのデザインにも、革新を与えながら、活動範囲を広げようともしている。
• F:THREE.OH以外のプロジェクトはありますか？
• J:僕は今Stanleyがディレクターを努めるREDEFINE METAZINEという新しいプロジェクトのクリエイティブ・ディレクターなんだ。REDEFINE METAZINEにおいては、コンテンツが全ての中心でもある。詳しくはhttp://www.threeoh.com/ (現在は http://www.may1reboot.com/)を見てくれ。

• J:Jamesをよろしく！

• F : What was your motivation for creating THREE.OH?
• At first accomplishment, then my audience took over.
• F : What’s the origin of THREE.OH?
• Studied Media Comm [Information & Advertisement] for 3 years. I was ntroduced to web design by some upper class students and got hooked.Sometime around 96-97 I early realised a personal homepage is hardly interesting if you can’t offer the user something. I made it a small portal to begin with.
• F : What was the concept?
• To combine my personal work with a launchpad to designrelated material and sites.
• F : How many people are involved with the creation of the site?
• Design,conceptualising, functionality and programming is made by myself. I get great help from Stanley who the editor and looks over all copy.Then there’s 5 other fellow designer friends who contribute in different ways like writing site reviews, product reviews, feedback etc etc.
• F : What are they occupations?
• J : Look above.
• F : What do you like the best/worst about the site?
• Best: content. Worst: monotone
• F : What is the future of THREE.OH?
• My intensions and plans are good. I aim with my crew to make it really valuable to our audience both contentwise and designwise. THREE.OH will also broaden its fields into other genres of design and explore with innovation.
• F : Are you currently on any other projects besides THREE.OH?
• J : I’m creative director of a new coming project called REDEFINE METAZINE who Stanley directs. At REDEFINE METAZINE, content is king. Watch　www.threeoh.com for breifing.
